A Life Remembered

Obituary

Nancy June Voss passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026, at the age of 82. She was born on August 23, 1943, to Scotty and June (Wilmes) Scott.

On January 3, 1964, Nancy married her love, Bill Voss. Together they built a life centered on family and were blessed with two daughters, who brought Nancy immense pride and joy.

Nancy devoted more than 35 years of her career to Jewel-Osco, where she took great pride in her work and later enjoyed a well-deserved retirement.

As the cherished matriarch of her family, Nancy opened her home for countless holidays and celebrations, creating lasting memories for those she loved. She was the heart of her family—offering unwavering love, guidance, and support. While she formed meaningful connections with many, her family remained her greatest joy.

Nancy also had a love for travel and adventure. She proudly visited all 50 states and treasured a memorable trip to England. Among her favorite experiences were her visits to Phoenix, Arizona, where she enjoyed attending Chicago Cubs spring training games.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Bill; daughters, Kathy (Gary) LeVine and Heidi Voss; granddaughter, Morgan Westburg; and siblings, John (Sally) Scott, Bob (Nancy) Scott, and Sue (Bob) Mumper. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Jim and Bruce Scott.

A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at a later date.

Messages of Love

From family and friends

Kori Reed June 17, 2026
Nancy Voss and my mom Jill Reed were dear friends and how my siblings and I got to love and connect as family with Kathy, Heidi and Bill too. We have so many treasured memories of spending time with the family and loved Nancy like another mom. Kath, Heidi and Bill- our hearts breaks for your grief right now. When you are ready to reminisce we will gladly hear and participate in lovely Nancy memories. It is our hope that our mom Jill was there to welcome Nancy to heaven with an innertube and a glass of wine saying I would not wish to rush your journey to meet me in heaven - now that you are here we can drink and laugh again. Love you Nancy!
