William Peter Mazanet, 75, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026. He was born on April 20, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois. He was the son of John and MiaMara (Heinke) Mazanet.
Bill was a maintenance engineer who worked for Miller Brewing Company, and he was able to retire in 2006. In 2005, he married, Georgia, and were happily married for 21 years. Bil was a man who could fix just about anything, and he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including hunting, bowling, charter fishing, and golfing.
A devoted Green Bay Packers fan, William proudly cheered on his team and enjoyed sharing his passion for the Packers with family and friends.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Georgia; his children, Dawn (Kenny) Schoen, Michele (Jim) Barden, and Rick (Meggan) Mazanet; step-children, Jackie Mancl, Julia Mancl, and Joleen Gowin; grandchildren, Jacob (Erin) Barden, Chandlor (Jenna) Schoen, Cody Schoen, Kaila Barden, Courtnee Schoen, Lucas (Haley) Mazanet, Jared Barden, Lance Mazanet, Gavin Gown, Malia Bouma, and Maddox Bouma; great grandchildren, Cara Schoen, Bella Schoen, Rylee Schoen, Luca Mazanet, Londyn Schoen, Mia Mara Schoen, Jeffrey Schoen, and Emily Barden; Brother John Edward Mazanet; brother-in-law, George MacDonald; and his faithful K-9 companion, Abby. He is further survived by nieces, other relatives, and friends. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Vivienne MacDonald; and his beloved dog Bandit.
Per Bill’s wishes, private services were held.
