William Gerard Marshall

William “Bill” Gerard Marshall, 69, of Kenosha, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at his home.

Born in Park Ridge, IL, on March 15, 1957, he was the son of the late Leroy and Dolores (Bourdeau) Marshall.

He worked at Underwriters Laboratories in Northbrook, IL until his retirement on May 29, 2020.

Bill was an avid Chicago Bear and White Sox fan. He enjoyed a good cigar, and camping at Blackhawk Campground. He will always be remembered as a jokester with a great sense of humor.

He is survived by his two sons, Chris (Lauren) Marshall and Pat (Danielle) Patton; seven grandchildren, Alysha, Reagan, and Rylee Patton, Liam, Kit, Remi, and Finn Marshall; one sister, Kathleen (Steven) Gorniack; nieces and nephews, Stevie Gorniack, Becky Hasselson, Jessie Hoffman, Michael Chodoronek, Matthew Chodoronek, Ashley Swanson, Chad Chodoronek, and Merissa Modory; and his former wife, Julie Chodoronek.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy Marshall and Dolores Bourdeau-Schmidt.

A memorial gathering will be held at Proko Funeral Home on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 5:00 p.m.
