Ryan Brett Taylor

Ryan Brett Taylor, 56, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 21, 1970, the son of Caxton and Judith (DeBus) Taylor.

Born and raised in Kenosha, Ryan graduated from Tremper High School in 1988. He continued his education at University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and Carthage College, where he excelled both academically and athletically. While pitching for Carthage College’s baseball team, Ryan established himself as one of the program’s standout players and still holds three pitching records dating back to 1994.

Ryan’s talent on the mound led him to sign with the Minnesota Twins organization, where he played for their AAA affiliate in Florida.

Professionally, Ryan worked as an industrial electrician and was a proud member of IBEW Local 150 of Lake County, Illinois.

Outside of work, Ryan had a deep love for cars, car shows, and drag racing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his buddies at “the garage,” where laughter, stories, and friendship were always in abundance. Those who knew Ryan will remember his quiet nature, goofy sense of humor, and unforgettable smile.

In addition to his parents, Ryan is survived by his daughter Diana (fiancé Aaron Nielsen) Taylor; partner in crime, Tracey Rosko; siblings, Darren (Shannon) Taylor and Cheryl (Edward) Bell; and his beloved feline companion, Lucy. He is also survived by nieces, other relatives and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. at Proko Funeral Home.
