Paula Scott, 71, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Aurora Hospice in Kenosha, Wisconsin, surrounded by the love and comfort of her daughter Tina, son Leonard, and his life partner, Yolanda Wilson, who lovingly embraced Paula as her mother-in-law.
Paula was born on July 17, 1955, in Waukegan, Illinois, to the late James and Lola Scott. She was a loving, strong, and devoted mother and grandmother whose family meant everything to her. She was a woman of remarkable strength, compassion, and resilience who faced life’s challenges with courage and determination. Her love extended far beyond words, as she demonstrated her devotion through the sacrifices she made, the wisdom she shared, and the care she provided to those closest to her.
Paula was more than a mother and grandmother; she was a source of comfort, guidance, and stability for her family. She played an especially meaningful role in the lives of her grandchildren, offering unconditional love, support, and a nurturing presence that helped shape the people they became.
Even during her own struggles, Paula remained a woman of strength and dignity. Her greatest legacy will not be measured by material possessions, but by the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the memories she leaves behind. Although her presence will be deeply missed, her love, strength, and the lessons she taught will forever live on through her children and grandchildren.
Paula is survived by her daughter, Tina Evans; her son, Leonard Scott; seven sisters: Ruth C. Little, Linda Fitzgerald, Pamela Wilson, Savanah French, Evette D. (Van) Johnson, Antoinette D. (James) Ragland, and Althia Scott; her brother, Herman Scott; her grandson, Kevin Scott; four granddaughters: Trina V. (Ladonte) Pittman, Taya Scott, Dejah Scott, and Dymond Scott; two great-grandsons, Ladonte J. Pittman and Ladamien J. Pittman; one great-granddaughter, Lola Pittman; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, James Scott Jr. and Lola Scott; her two brothers, James Scott III and Walter Scott; and her two nephews, Edwin Eugene O’Bryant and Bryant Dwayne French.
“Her children arise up, and call her blessed.”
