Lorraine Murawski, 80 years old of Kenosha, WI passed away Wednesday September 9, 2026, at Kenosha Place Assisted Living, Kenosha, WI.
She was born July 10, 1946, in Kenosha, WI, the daughter of the late Elmer and Rosalia (Trottier) Julius, and graduated from Kenosha Bradford High School in 1964. She married Leo Murawski that same year and he preceded her in death in 1999.
Lorraine retired from Abbott Laboratories as an administrative assistant, and had worked for various companies prior to that.
She was an avid gardener, and enjoyed the beach, baking (especially chocolate chip cookies), quilting, and sewing. Lorraine was a talented quilter and seamstress, sewing numerous items over the years; she enjoyed playing dress-up with her granddaughters and their dolls. She relished in organizing events, whether for her family or for the public. She especially cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lorraine loved bowling and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Survivors include her children, Debbie (Rich) Manthei, Dawn Spizzirri, Don (Jean) Murawski, and Duane (Tara) Murawski; grandchildren, Stevie (Ryan), Frank (Laura), Stephanie, Kurt, Travis, Autumn and Ashlee; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Hannah, Freya, and Jackson; and siblings, Gayle Ricci, Sharon Hart, and Mary Larsen.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lorraine was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Julius.
Memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Proko Funeral Home. A memorial service will commence at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home and interment will be held privately at a later date in All Saints Cemetery, Pleasant Prairie, WI. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, in her memory.
