Lloyd Alzo Nelson

October 30, 1927 ∼ October 28, 2026

Lloyd Alzo Nelson

Lloyd Alzo Nelson, 98, entered his eternal home on October 28,2026, two days prior to his 99th birthday.

He was born on October 30, 1927, in Bristol, WI, the son of the late Alzo and Aurora (Wienke) Nelson.

Lloyd spent his early years doing what he loved most – farming, operating his own grain bin business and building homes. The land was more than just his livelihood; it was his passion, his pride, and his way of life. He understood the value of hard work, the importance of family and the satisfaction of seeing something develop from the ground up. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, generous heart and his desire to help people in need.

Lloyd was a longtime member of First Christian Church and also supported Wesley Chapel United Methodist church. He was very active in the community and loved being around people.

In 2017 Lloyd became passionate about clean water initiatives specifically in Africa. It brought him great joy to support the well projects, farming apprenticeship program, and the orphanage in Tanzania.

More recently Lloyd developed a love for watching his great grandchildren play various sports and attended as many games as possible. He was a celebrated number one fan of his grandson’s Legends team and there was always a reserved seat for him directly behind the backstop.

Lloyd is survived by three children, Bonny (Steve) Truskowski, Christy (Rick) Meyer and Michael (Jennifer) Nelson; 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren all of whom carry forward his family legacy. He is further survived by his brother Gary (Carol) Nelson. In addition, he is survived by Pearl Nelson (mother of his children), Nette Nelson and Jolanda Whitaker.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his father Alzo Nelson, his mother Aurora (Wienke) Nelson, his sister Louise (Bob) Anderson and his two brothers Leroy (Donna) Nelson and Dale (Valerie) Nelson.

As family and friends remember Lloyd, may they treasure the times spent together, the card games played, the meals shared, and the countless moments that made up a life well lived. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories he created and the love he shared will continue throughout the generations of his family.
