It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Herman Theodore Weiher on September 11, 2026, at the age of 87. He left this world peacefully, surrounded by his family, after a life filled with kindness, laughter, and abundant love.

Born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on March 9, 1939, Herman was one of eleven children born to the late Herman and Martha (Perona) Weiher. He attended Union Grove High School, establishing roots in the community he loved. On May 24, 1974, he married the love of his life, Jean Barrett. Herman dedicated 30 years of hard work to the American Motors Corporation and Chrysler, serving proudly as a union steward and eventually retiring as a pipefitter in 1998.

Following his retirement, Herman fulfilled his dream of living "up north" in Lake Tomahawk, where he built both a cabin and a home. Before eventually returning to Kenosha, he proudly mastered the title of "fishing guide." He knew all the great fishing spots and was happiest when he was out on the water casting a line.

Above all, Herman was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a proud grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. Affectionately nicknamed “The King,” he was the ultimate protector of his family. His warmth, wisdom, and gentle humor touched everyone who knew him. His legacy lives on in the valuable lessons he taught, the countless stories he shared, and the unconditional love he gave. Herman was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, a proud Green Bay Packers fan, and a Chicago Cubs fan who never missed a game.

Herman is survived by his two sisters, Bea Knetig and Brenda Suering; his children, Deborah (Cesar) Perez of Stockton, CA, Bruce (Patti) Weiher of Kenosha, WI, Susan (Aaron) Clark of Mountain House, CA, and David Weiher of Belvidere, IL; and his stepdaughter, Bonnie Clark (the late Daniel) of Ewa Beach, HI. His love and spirit will continue to blossom through his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Martha Weiher; his beloved wife, Jean Weiher; his daughters, Kelly Moeser and Kristine Leigh Taylor; and his siblings, George Weiher, Mary Schroder, Betty Turner, Lee Weiher, Ben Weiher, Jim Weiher, Kenny Weiher, and Connie Galbraith.

Thank you, Dad, for the love you brought into our lives and the wonderful memories that we will forever hold in our hearts.

Private family services will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum.
