Maxine Louise KRUEGER
Maxine L. "Mickey" Krueger, 73, of Burlington, WI (Kenosha County), died Wednesday, April 4th, 2001, at her home. She was born May 23, 1927, in Waukegan, IL, the daughter of the late Alvin D. and Daisy A. (Ladewig) Jensen. She attended Zion Benton High School in Zion, IL. On February 23, 1946, she married Thomas Wallis Krueger at North Prairie Church in Zion; he died on June 23, 1981. On July 12, 1986, she married Glen A. Krueger at Wilmot United Methodist Church in Wilmot, WI. She was a longtime member of Wilmot United Methodist Church where she was active in study groups and the Prayer Chain. She was a member of the United Methodist Women and had served on the Church Council. She was a resident of Kenosha County for the past 55 years. She first lived on a farm near Bristol, then on a farm in Salem Township. She was a homemaker and had worked as a waitress at the Wee Hope Restaurant in Pleasant Prairie in her early years. She was a very compassionate person and through the years watched over several elderly neighbors. She enjoyed doing ceramics and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Glen A. of Burlington; a son, Terry T. (Diane) Krueger of Burlington; a daughter, Diane (Robert) Krueger of Kenosha; five grandchildren, Adam, Kevin, Mark, Todd and Scott; two sisters, June Bolton of Red Bay, AL, and Hazel Peach of Camden, TN; and a brother, Lole Jensen of Waukegan, IL. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Jean Krueger in March of 1947, and two brothers, Lyle Jensen in 1982 and David Jensen in infancy. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 7th, at Proko Funeral Home at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday at Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
