Paul W. Waters, 92, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Brookside Care Center. Born in Baldwyn, MS, on July 14, 1923, he was the son of the late Guy and Lena (Tapp) Waters. He was educated in Baldwyn schools and attended technical college in Tupelo MS. Paul served in the United States Navy as a Seaman First Class from August 27, 1943, until his honorable discharge on December 6, 1945. He served on the destroyer escort USS Marsh ED699 and traveled throughout the world in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He married Concetta “Connie” Bosco on August 13, 1949, and began a long life together of nearly 67 years. Paul moved to Kenosha following his military discharge to begin a 30-year career in the automotive industry. He worked in cutting tool development, manufacturing and in education for the American Motors Corporation. His keen eye for visualizing complex three-dimensional shapes and highly honed wood working skills lead him in a second 15-year pattern fabrication career working alongside his son, Jeff, in electric machines. Paul was a dedicated husband, father and member of his community. Paul brought a quiet passion to all he did. He enjoyed auto racing, woodworking and many different types of construction projects. Paul serviced his community as a volunteer with Kenosha Area Family and Aging Services by delivering food, smiles and service to those who cannot get out. Survivors include his wife, Connie Waters of Kenosha; two children, Jeffrey Waters of Hilliard, OH, and Catherine (Jerry) of Kenosha; a brother, Guy Emmett Waters of Memphis, TN; a sister, Janie Barnett of Lakewood, CO; five grandchildren, Natalie Waters, Daniel Coleman, Jordan Waters, Jacob Waters and Matthew Coleman; two step grandchildren, Adam (Pauline) Coleman and Michelle Coleman; three step great-grandchildren, John (Amanda) Morehouse, Ryan Morehouse and Emily Morehouse; and one great-great grandchild, John. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 17th, at Proko Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kenosha Area Family and Aging Services would be appreciated.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit Paul’s Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com
