Janice M. Nelson, 73, of Somers, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 1, 2016, at Hospice Alliance Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie. Born in Cincinnati, OH, on November 27, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Rita (Sandfoss) Hall. Janice was educated in the schools of Cincinnati and moved to Kenosha in the late 1960’s. Janice was a foster parent for many years before becoming the owner/operator of an adult family home for the developmentally disabled. She was a member of the Moose Lodge 286 and enjoyed shopping, gardening and playing Bingo. Janice would always root for the Cincinnati Reds and the Green Bay Packers. She also enjoyed her beloved dog, Baker. Survivors include three children, Courtney Nelson of Kenosha, Anne Nelson of Kenosha and Chandler (Jennifer) Nelson of Fort Rucker, AL; a brother, Warren (Sally) Hall of Maineville, OH; a niece, Emily (Todd) Sostaric and their children, Joey and Ali; and a nephew, Tony Hall. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rita Mae Coulombe; and a brother, Charles Hall. Services for Janice will be private.
