My deepest sympathies and prayers are with you and your family. I attribute a great deal of my success as a lawyer to Carl's training when I was an intern with the District Attorney's office many years ago. His love of his family and Marquette and his service to Kenosha will be a legacy that most can't live up to. I am sorry I could not be there to share this in person.

My deep codolences over the passing of a hard working and dedicated man. Carl was definitely a character and, as the late Charles Kuralt said, when the nation runs out of characters it will have lost its character. We lost another one and, Carl, I am wringing my hands over your passing.
