Catherine P. “Pat” Roach, 81, of Kenosha, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2016, at St. Joseph’s Home, surrounded by her loving family. Pat was born in Cass County, IN, on May 15, 1935, the daughter of the late Walter A. and Anne (Donahue) Day. She graduated from Galveston High School in Indiana and received her RN license from Holy Cross School of Nursing at St. Mary’s College in Notre Dame, IN. She went on to receive her B.S. in Nursing from Milton College in Milton, WI. On April 27, 1957, she married James T. Roach at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Kokomo, IN. Pat and Jim resided in Kokomo and later moved to Michigan City, IN, Woodridge, IL and in 1974 moved to Kenosha, WI. She was employed at Doctors Hospital of Michigan City, IN, Edward Hospital of Naperville, IL, Kenosha Memorial Hospital as a staff nurse and an instructor at Gateway Technical College in the Nursing Assistant program. Pat was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Kenosha, Strategic Planning Committee, Board Member of the American Heart Association Kenosha Chapter, Board Member of Kenosha County Tobacco Free Coalition, and a member of the Kenosha County Needs Assessment Steering Committee and Work Group. Surviving Pat is her husband, James; two sons, Joseph (Michelle) and Michael (Mary Beth); three daughters, Mary Anne (Mark) Kuspa, Barbara (Jeff) Clark and Melissa (Fred) Roach-Zievers; nine grandchildren, Dalton and Jaclyn Kuspa, Kyle, Jon and Kathryn Clark, Kelley and Taylor Roach, Emily Roach and Stephanie Zievers; and a sister, Phyllis (Ronald) Lynas of Bloomington, IN. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Billy Clark in 1993; and her sister, Louise Rose in 2016. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Pat on Thursday, June 16th, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 9005-22nd Avenue, Kenosha, WI, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at the Proko Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 15th, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Interment will be held at All Saints Cemetery.
