Lucy R. Mecozzi died on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at the age of 100 at her daughter’s house in Beach Park, IL. Born on September 1, 1915, in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Carmella (Bartucci) Ruffalo. On November 25, 1944, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, she married Mario Mecozzi. After 49 years of married he preceded her in death on January 6, 1994. Lucy was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Kenosha and the Italian American Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Michael Ambrogio of Beach Park, IL, and also numerous relatives and friends from the Kenosha area. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her step son, Darrell Mecozzi; three brothers, Benjamin, Anthony and Frank Rufalo; and five sisters, Mary Pitts, Josephine Troha, Vyola Kinsey, Helen Forgianni Keckler and Rose Ciotti. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 13th, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 1919-54th Street, Kenosha, WI, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with private interment at All Saints Cemetery.
