Jeffrey Raymond Zalewski, of Kenosha, WI, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016, at his home. Born on November 8, 1961, he was the son of Fredrick and Shirley Zalewski. He was educated in the Kenosha public schools and has technical certifications from Gateway Technical College. Jeff worked at the Chrysler Motor Plant in Kenosha for 23 years until the plant closed. Jeff was an avid outdoorsman, who met his friends regularly for hunting and fishing expeditions both locally and in some of the other 50 states. Although he was not a person who outwardly professed it, it was very clear that Jeff loved his circle of family and friends dearly. He was very generous with his time and material possessions. Jeff especially loved to cook and feed his family and friends. To those of us in this circle, Jeff’s heart was golden. Jeff—our son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend—you will be sadly missed. Jeff is survived by his mother and father, Shirley and Fredrick Zalewski; and his sisters, Jacqueline and Yvonne Zalewski and their partners, Anteaus Rezba and Russ Stollenwerk. A memorial gathering will be held for Jeff at the Proko Funeral Home on Saturday, June 25th, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Interment will be held privately.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit Jeffrey's Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

My heart is still aching at the loss of Jeff. A very special person, so kind, generous and a real funster. In the few short months we shared at Amazon, Jeff was a very special part of my life. All the things we shared, he became a truly wonderful friend. I can't think of a day were we did not laugh until we cried.I miss you so much. My prayers are for your family knowing how hard it will be to have to to pick up the pieces and go on. Until we meet again in Heaven, I will always remember and love you.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends who were lucky enough to have known Jeff. Although we had lost touch over the years, I never stopped loving and thinking of Jeff. We had so many good times. I especially remember having dinner with him at the Auctioneer's Inn. We were telling each other how much we were afraid of spiders. He told me a story about a huge spider in a web in the doorway of one of the outbuildings where he was hunting. Instead of getting a broom or bug spray, he got a pistol and shot it. I laughed so hard, I almost fell out of my chair. The restaurant was full and wanted to know why I was laughing so hard, so I told everyone. The entire restaurant was breaking up. Those are the kind of memories I will keep with me to help me through the pain of losing such a great love and friend.

To the family of Jeff ZalewskiI am so sorry to hear of your loss. Jeff was a very nice man and he had a great personality. I worked with him at Chrysler and he would enjoy bringing in food he had cooked to share with friends. One thing I will remember about him is his funny stories he would tell. He will be sadly missed.
