Alice M. Soderberg, 62, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Marquette, MI, on April 6, 1954, she was the daughter of John Andrew and Melva Jean (Benjamin) Westman. She was educated in the schools in Gwinn, MI, and moved to Kenosha in 1976. On February 14, 2005, she married James Soderberg in Kenosha. Alice was formerly employed with Martin Band Instruments in Kenosha. She loved going to car shows, tending to her garden, and taking care of her pets. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family in her cabin up north Wisconsin. Survivors include her husband, James Soderberg of Kenosha; her daughter, Laura (Mike) Kirkwood of Gwinn, MI; a step son, Kurtis Soderberg of Kenosha; her mother, Melva Jean Albright of Kenosha; two brothers, John Westman of Gwinn, MI, and Mike (Eileen) Westman of Florida; two sisters, Judy Griffith of Kenosha and Linda (Victor) Lopez of Kenosha; and three grandchildren, James (Amanda) French, Brooklynne (Zak) Kirkwood and Kloe Soderberg. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, John Westman; her sister, Barbara Kerr; and her brother-in-law, Ron Griffith. Alice’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Aurora At Home Hospice for all of the kind and compassionate care that they gave her.
