Marcy E. Grochowski, 80, of Kenosha, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2016, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus. She was born on June 30, 1935, in South Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of the late John and Charlotte (Wisniewski) Galewski. Marcy was educated in the schools of South Milwaukee and graduated from St. Mary’s Academy. On October 23, 1954, she married Joseph Grochowski at St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church in South Milwaukee; in 1957 they moved to Kenosha. Marcy was an extremely thoughtful, caring and generous person. She was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, serving in various capacities including the Altar Society, Parish Council, decorating committee and other volunteer positions over her 58 years of parish membership. She loved taking care of her family, especially following her grandchildren’s accomplishments and activities. She enjoyed drawing, painting, ceramics and other creative passions. Surviving Marcy are husband, Joseph; her four sons, Michael of Kenosha, Patrick (Jacquelyn) of Madison, WI, Alan (Sue) of Hoffman Estates, IL, and Paul (Barb) of Pleasant Prairie, WI; two daughters, Sue (Scott) Sheaffer of Delafield, WI, and Debra (John) Kunz of Lake Forest, IL; twelve grandchildren, Rachel, Sarah, Gabrielle, Brandon, Dylan, Kira, Joey, Billy, Alec, Jake, Kevin and Kelly; a brother, William (Judy) Galewski of Cape Coral, FL; and her sister, Adrianne (Mike) Gengler of Sturgeon Bay, WI. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 3rd, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held privately.
