Larry Lucent Gennaccaro
Larry L. Gennaccaro (aka - Crazy Larry), 73, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 16, 2016, at United Hospital System-St. Catherine’s Medical Center Campus. Born in Kenosha on October 5, 1942, he was the son of the late Sylvester and Eleanor (Ponzio) Gennaccaro. Larry was educated in local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. On September 3, 1980, he married Kon I. Lee in Korea. Larry served in the United States Army for over 25 years reaching the rank of Sergeant First Class. He received the Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with four Bronze Service Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Meritorious Unit Citation, Vietnam Civil Action Honor Medal, Good Conduct Medal with 6th Award, Meritorious Service Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, and the Army Commendation with five Oak Leaf Clusters. He was a member of the Masonic Temple and enjoyed cooking, cars and watching football. Survivors include his wife, Kon Gennaccaro of Kenosha; a son, Michael (Sheen) Katzenberger of Madison, WI; two sisters, Diana (Hairold) Gregory and Connie (Rueben) Franco, both of Kenosha; and a granddaughter, Arcadia Katzenberger. He is furthered survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 21st, at Proko Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4:00 p.m. followed by full military honors.
