William J. Gasparin jr

William J. Gasparin, Jr., 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 13, 2016, at Grande Prairie Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Born in Wheeling, WV, on May 1, 1937, he was the son of the late William J. and Elizabeth (Frohme) Gasparin, Sr. On July, 6, 1956, he married Joanne White in Waukegan, IL, and in 1976 they moved to Wisconsin and made Pleasant Prairie their home. She preceded him in death on August 18, 2009. At the age of 18, he started working for the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad for 10 years and then proceeded in his lifelong career as a Truck Driver for companies such as Quality Carriers, Maislin/Gateway, Overnight Transportation nka UPS Freight, and retiring at the age of 74 with FoodLiner. His passion was Steam Engine Trains, and going on trips whether it be fishing on the Wisconsin River, camping on Castle Rock or Deer Hunting each and every year until his surgery in 2012. He also looked forward to hear from his childhood friends Eddie Jacobs, Tom Thorton, Dick Burda and Maki Moro. Also honorable mentions to his best friends Rick “Sparky” Voeltz and Burt “Hot Rod” Orr. He is survived by his son, William “Billy” (Judy) of Kenosha; daughter, Karen (Rodney) Wember of Kenosha; grandchildren, Steven (Kristen), David, Katrina and Danny Gasparin, and Sarah and Tommy Wember; four great-grandchildren; sister, Dianna (Wayne) Styers; and niece, Kelly Ann. Bill was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Rebecca Marie Wember. A special “Thank You” to the entire staff at Grande Prairie Health and Rehabilitation Center to tending to my father for the last three months of his life.
