Joyce Krecker, 90, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 11, 2016, at her home with her family at her side. Born in Kenosha on March 19, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William and Sarah (Totts) Kiekhoefer. Joyce was raised in Kenosha and was educated in local schools. On October 5, 1957, she married Walter Carl Krecker at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on August 6, 1992. Joyce was first employed with Wisconsin Bell for 12 years before moving to Elgin, IL to take a position with Illinois Bell/AT&T for 25 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Kenosha Public Museum and the Telephone Pioneers of America. She also enjoyed doing cross-stich, crocheting, knitting and cooking. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Vera Dwyer and Sally Voorhees; and a brother, James R. Kiekhoefer.
