Marian R. Kroes, 93, of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016, at the Hospice Alliance House in Pleasant Prairie. She was born in Chicago, IL, on January 27, 1923, the daughter of the late William C. and Marie E. (McDonough) Sullivan. On January 12, 1946, she married Peter A. Kroes in Chicago, IL, and in 1970 they moved to Kenosha. Peter preceded her in death on November 25, 2009. Marian was a longtime volunteer at Kenosha Hospital, a member of Friends of the Library and also a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Surviving Marian are her three sons, Peter A. (Kathy) Kroes, Bruce E. Kroes and Lawrence A. Kroes; a daughter, Marie E. (Don) Lang; five grandchildren, Lisa, Jon, Donny, Jennifer and Greg; and four great-grandchildren, Adelyn, Cora, Connor and Brenna. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Peter; a brother, William Sullivan; and a sister, Sr. Mary Ellen Sullivan. A Memorial Mass will be held privately.
