Luigi G. DeCesaro, 90, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 18, 1925, in Marano, Principato, Provence of Cosenza, Italy, he was the son of the late Lauzareno and Rosina DeCesaro. He was educated in Italy, coming to Kenosha in 1952 to make his home. On February 10, 1952, he married Christina T. Aquino at Santa Maria Church in Cosenza, Italy. From 1952 until his retirement in 1992 he was employed by Anaconda American Brass. Luigi was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. He loved spending time outdoors, working in his garden and planting. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Christina DeCesaro of Kenosha; a son, Anthony DeCesaro of Kenosha; a daughter, Linda (Steven) Cascio of Kenosha; his two grandchildren, Christopher DeCesaro and Adriana Cascio; and two great-grandchildren, Autumn and Ethan. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Rosemary DeCesaro. The family would like to thank Dr. A. J. Capelli, the medical and nursing staff and the Hospice staff of Aurora Medical Center, and the nurses and staff of Hospitality Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for all of their compassion and care. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 21st, from Proko Funeral Home at 9:15 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at St. Therese Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum. Luigi was a wonderful man. I remember visiting him at Locicero. He would always pinch my cheeks and call me Bella. I loved seeing him and talking with him. My prayers go out to his wonderful wife Christina and the rest of his family.
