Hazel D. Zocchi, 88, of Kenosha, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus. She was born on June 29, 1927, in Ironwood, MI, the daughter of the late Clarence and Ann (Knutilla) Christiansen. She was educated in the schools of Michigan coming to Kenosha at the age of 18 to make her home. On June 24, 1949, in Kenosha, she married Peter J. Zocchi, Sr., whom she met at Coopers; he preceded her in death on November 5, 1997. For ten years Hazel was employed by American Motors Corp in Kenosha. A member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and the Women’s Club of Kenosha, she loved Elvis Presley, gardening and dancing. Most of all she loved sharing memories with her family about growing up on the farm in Michigan. She was very family orientated and enjoyed picnics and just spending time with her family. Surviving are her five children, Joseph C. (Carla) Zocchi of Kenosha, Michael J. Zocchi of Austin, TX, Debbie L. (Dan) Wilmot of Kenosha, Barbara A. (Rick) Wollert of Kenosha and Roxann M. (Daryl) Wiesneth of Kenosha; a sister, Dolores (Robert) Scholey of Pleasant Prairie; thirteen grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Peter J. Zocchi, Jr.; and a brother in infancy.
