Nina L. Antes, 82, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at Kenosha Estates under Hospice care surrounded by her family. She was born September 27, 1932 in L’Anse, MI, the daughter of the late Homer and Dorothy Auge. Coming to Kenosha as a teenager she attended local schools and was a 1950 graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School. In 1954 in she married, her high school sweetheart, Dale J. Antes in Waukegan, IL. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2007. Nina loved taking care of her family and was an avid Green Bay Packer and Chicago Cub fan. Surviving are her six children, Terry (Gary) Smith of Racine, WI, Wayne (Julienne) Antes of Windom, MN, Ricky (Robin) Antes of Panama City, FL, Debra (Sam) Lamport of Orlando, FL, John (Lori) Antes of Anderson, TX, and Gina (Dennis) Mordja of Salem, WI; a brother, Homer (Carol) Antes of Beloit, WI; 26 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; her special friend, Darlene; and also many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Dale; and grandson, Joshua Lang. A special thank you to the staff at Kenosha Estates for all the love and care they gave to our mother and grandmother and C.N.A. Gloria Young. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 23rd, at Proko Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
