Fred J. Aiello, 80, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus surrounded by his loving family. Born in Kenosha on March 28, 1934, he was the son of the late Leopoldo and Carmela (Lucci) Aiello. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was educated in local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. After he graduated, he served in the United States Army. On September 1, 1990, he married Susan Cairo in Kenosha. Fred was the general manager at Phillips Bros. for several years. He also was the owner/operator of Aiello Wholesale. He was a member of the Italian American Club where he also served as general manager, president and club historian as well as being an honored guest at their 1992 Annual Columbus Day Banquet. Fred was a gourmet cook, was a former member of the Golden Gloves, and also was an avid drummer including his involvement with the Shoreliners Drum and Bugle Corps. Survivors include his wife, Susan of Kenosha; four sons, Paul (Cheryl) Aiello of Kenosha, Fred (Adele) Aiello of Riverside, CA, Joe (Beth) Aiello of Kenosha and Todd (Dawn) Gibson of Racine; a brother, Lee (Pat) Aiello of The Villages, FL; a sister, Mary Aiello of Kenosha; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Fred’s family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus for all of the kind and compassionate care they gave him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 19th, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at 12:00 noon. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. I have many great memories of my uncle and Godfather. When I attended my Aunt Mary's funeral and he told me he was proud of me, it is a statement that I will cherish until I see him again. To my cousins Paul, Fred, Joe and your children you are all in my prayers.
