Vincenzo “Vinnie” Ruffolo, 91 of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2014, at Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie surrounded by his loving family. Born in Marano Marchesato, Cosenza, Italy, on August 9, 1923, he was the son of the late Raffaelle and Concetta (Bilotti) Ruffolo. He was educated in the schools of Italy. He served in the Italian Army during World War II as military police and he worked in collaboration with the American soldiers. On November 13, 1949 he married Gilda “G” DeBartolo in Italy. Shortly after they were married they moved to Kenosha. She preceded him in death on August 28, 2012. Vinnie was employed by the Railroad, Simmons and retired from American Motors Corporation. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and loved being outdoors working in his garden or taking care of his immaculate lawn. Vinnie is survived by his three daughters, Concetta “Connie” (David) Anderson of Bristol, WI , Clara (John) Micinski of Rockford, IL, and Lisa (Joseph) Cairo of Chicago, IL; six grandchildren, David (Lisa) Anderson, Adam (Trish) Anderson, Marcus Anderson, Rachael and Natalie Micinski and Joseph V. Cairo; four great-grandchildren, Brayden, Brody, Enzo and Jude; a sister-in-law, Amalia Guido of Kenosha; and a brother-in-law, Gabriele Magliocchi of Toronto, Canada. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolina Macrito and Giuseppina Magliocchi. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 30th, from Proko Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 29th, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice Alliance would be appreciated by the family.
