Irene E. Mitchell-Kisser, 91, of Kenosha, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014, at Brookside Care Center. Born in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, on August 18, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ella (Kind) Gaber. She was educated in the schools of Wisconsin Rapids. She moved to Kenosha from Waukegan, IL, in 1984. In 1942, she married Fred Mitchell; he preceded her in death on September 10, 1976. She later married Erwin Kisser on May 19, 1984; he preceded her in death on April 22, 2014. Irene was employed as a cashier for several years with A&P grocery store. Survivors include her son, Kenneth (Jo-D) Mitchell of Oak Lawn, IL; and three grandchildren, Sean Mitchell, Shannon Mitchell and Ryan (Tina) Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her son, Fredrick Mitchell; and two brothers, Art and George Gaber. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 9th, at Proko Funeral Home at 12:00 noon.
