Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Friday, October 3, 2014, at the age of 93. She was the daughter of the late George Edward Manupella and Helena Eugenia Lesmont. Virginia was born on October 14, 1920, in Rockford, Illinois. She married Vincent Benjamin Klemko on October 17, 1942. Virginia attended local schools which included Durkee Elementary, St. Mark’s, Lincoln, Kenosha High and Trenary’s College of Commerce. She was employed at MacWhyte Company and was a member of the VFW Bugle and Drum Corp. While living in Kenosha County she was a member of St. John’s Parish in Paris Township and was active in the Christian Mother’s, church choir as well as a 4H project leader. Moving back to Kenosha in 1992, she became a member of St. Peter’s Church where she was a member of the choir and the Women’s League. Virginia was also a member of the Senior Action Council, and a member of the Mall Walkers. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to the grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s events, watching the Cubs play, playing bingo with friends, traveling to casinos, crocheting, knitting and singing. She enjoyed the last several years at Celebre Place in Kenosha with all her new found friends and the wonderful staff there. Surviving are her six children; Vince (Nancy) Klemko, Waterford; Greg Klemko, Fontana; Janet (Bjarne) Wichmann, Michigan; Jeff (Patty) Klemko, Missouri; Nancy Miller, Minnesota; Tom Klemko, Arizona. She has seven grandchildren; Brian (Jenny) Klemko, Kathy (Chad) Gordon, Ryan Klemko, Jette and Steen Wichmann, Justin (Kelly) and Jason Miller. Her five great-grandchildren are: Quinn, Logan and Taylor Gordon, and Abagail and Alyssa Klemko. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, sisters (Marguerite Topel and Genevieve Dougvillo) and her husband, Vincent Klemko. Visitation will be held at the Proko Funeral Home on Thursday, October 9th, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1501-172nd Avenue, Union Grove, WI, on Friday, October 10th, at 10:00 a.m. for the Mass of Christian Burial.
