Gary E. Sowma, 61, of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 12, 2014, at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. Born in Cincinnati, OH, on December 31, 1952, he was the son of the late Theodore and Peggy Sowma. He was educated in the schools of Ohio. On March 31, 1980, he married Lori Jensen of Kenosha in New Knoxville, OH. Together they moved to Kenosha in 1992. Gary was currently employed as Director of Operations with the North Shore Sanitary District for over 20 years. Survivors include his wife, Lori Sowma of Kenosha; five children, Aaron (Da Hye) Sowma of South Korea, Jeremy Sowma of Kenosha, Michole (Jaime Arias Lopez) Arias-Sowma of Kenosha, Stephanie Sowma of Minneapolis, MN, and Joshua Sowma of Kenosha; three brothers, Ted (Freda) Sowma, Joe Sowma and Steven (Rebecca) Sowma, all of Cincinnati, OH; a sister, Rosalie Hosson of Aylmer, Quebec; and six grandchildren, Jaime, Christian, Reina, Elijah, Grace and Daniel.
