Matthew A. Humphres

1981 ∼ 2014

Matthew A. Humphres
Matthew Allen Humphres, 32, of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at a friend's home after experiencing an adverse reaction to medications following a recent hospitalization. Born on September 15, 1981, he was the son of Larry Humphres and Mark and Barb (Pulera) Kortbein. He completed all of his schooling in Kenosha at St. Mary's Catholic School, Whittier Elementary, Lance Junior High, and Tremper Senior High, graduating in 2000. He quickly learned of his talents in the kitchen, especially with Italian cuisine. He spent the majority of his adult years working as a cook for Passarelli's Pizza, briefly co-owning H and H Meats and Catering Inc., and, most recently, cooking at Dover Inn. Matthew was an avid Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs fan. He loved country music, was great with children, and easily made friends. He was known as someone who would lend a helping hand or stand by your side in time of need. Matthew will be deeply missed by his parents, sisters (Nicholle Petts and Melissa Dygulski), nephew (Ian Petts), niece (Julianna Petts), and countless other family and friends. He will join eternal life with his paternal grandparents (John and Ruth Humphres), maternal grandparents (Nick and Julia Pulera), and uncle (Nick Pulera Jr.). Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 2nd, at Proko Funeral Home in Kenosha at 5111- 60th Street. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 p.m.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit Matthew's Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com
