Arthur E. Willoughby, 88, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 21, 2014, at Hospice Alliance in Racine, WI. Born on July 5, 1926, in Kenosha, Art was the son of the late Charles and Florence (Bruenning) Willoughby. Arthur proudly served his country from March 1944 until July of 1946, as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps, 2nd Division 1st Battalion 8th Marines Demolition Expert. He married LaVerne Grabowicz on May 17, 1952. She preceded him in death on May 11, 2014. Arthur was a Superintendent for 38 years at American Motors, retiring in 1981. He is survived by his two children, Cheryl Willoughby and James (Deborah) Willoughby, both of Kenosha; two grandchildren, Jason (Shawna) Willoughby and Jennifer (DeLorean) Graham; two great-grandchildren, Claire and Eli; and a sister, Delores (Medford) Griffin. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Willoughby. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 28th, at Proko Funeral Home at 6:00 p.m. Interment at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park will be private.
