Betty Jean Linderman, 84, of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at her residence. Born in Kenosha on August 27, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Louise (Tremethick) Lindrose. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she attended local schools and was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School in 1947 with honors. On May 15, 1948, she was united in marriage to Robert Allen Linderman at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenosha. For many years she was a seamstress for Coopers/Jockey International; she then worked at Kenosha Memorial Hospital and Carthage College as a switchboard operator. Betty was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Women’s Shriners Auxiliary. She loved to go to Shriner Luncheons with her sister-in-law, Patricia Helf, and help knit clothes for Shriners Children’s Hospital. Betty loved working in her garden, tending to her flowers which she had such a passion for, doing needle crafts, watching old movies and Dancing with the Stars (mom loved to dance). Most of all, she loved to visit her daughter near the Wisconsin Dells and her daughter in California. Surviving are her husband, Robert Linderman of Kenosha; two daughters, Denise L. (Alan R.) Hoff, Sr. of Arkdale, WI, and Michele (Tracy) Talbott Sr. of Escondido, CA; two grandchildren, Robert C. and Christopher R. Church; and two great-grandchildren, Brenton and Collin Buggs. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd, at Proko Funeral Home at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
