Helene Stern-Goodman, 83, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2014, at Hospitality Manor. Born on September 15, 1930, in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Josephine (Breire) Stern. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was educated in local schools. In 1986 she married Harold Goodman in Kenosha; he preceded her in death in 1997. She had been employed in marketing by Time Magazine for a number of years and was a member of Beth Hillel temple in Kenosha. She was proud of her grandfather, Mr. Isaac Stern, one of the first Jewish families to settle in Kenosha and also a founding member of congregation Bnai Zedek. In her later years she attended many services at Bnai Zedek Chabad of Kenosha. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Jakov of Florida; her niece, Elaine Scheye of Chicago; and her adopted family, Mrs. Gayle Childress and family of Kenosha.
