Paul William Stankus, Jr.

Paul William Stankus, Jr., 49, formerly of Kenosha, late of Clinton, MO, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 1, 2014, due to a tragic car accident. Born in Kenosha on February 27, 1965, he was the son of Paul William and Rosaline (Scola) Stankus, Sr. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Tremper High School, where he loved playing on the football team. Paul was employed with the Kenosha Unified School District in the facilities services department for 18 years before moving to Clinton about 10 years ago. He was a former president of the Kenosha Unified 168 Service Employees Union and loved all sports, especially the Minnesota Vikings. Most of all, Paul will be remembered as a big teddy bear. Survivors include his mother, Rose Scola of Colorado Springs, Co; daughter, Jazmine Rose Stankus of Clinton, MO; his fiancée, Kelly Helms of Clinton, MO; brother, Louis (Lisa) Stankus of Farmington, MN; sister, Helen (David) Shuman of Colorado Springs, CO; his uncle and aunt, Stanley and June Stankus of Mountain Home, AR; and his former wife, Gilda Schiaffino-Smith of Kenosha. He is further survived by several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul William Stankus, Sr.; step father, Herman William Oestreich; and maternal grandmother, Helen Scola.
