Donald F. Huebner, 88, of Bristol, WI, formerly of Mount Prospect, IL, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Born in New London, WI, on October 24, 1925, he was the son of the late Frank and Erna (Gorges) Huebner. Don served his country during World Word II in the U.S. Navy. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. On November 27, 1953, he married Nancy Stearns in Evanston, IL; she preceded him in death on March 27, 1992. In 1963 he moved to Mount Prospect, IL. He retired from working as a comptroller for Active Electric/Fox Lighting Gallery. He moved to Bristol in 2004. Don was a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mount Prospect, IL, and was currently a member of Westosha Lakes Church in Paddock Lake, WI. He enjoyed gardening, bird watching, reading and music, and sang with many choirs throughout his life. Most of all, Don found great joy in raising his family. Survivors include his eight children, Donald (Jean), Barry (Gayle), Orrin (Debby); Scott (Lynette), Chris (Rolean), Heidi (Michael) Schuerstedt, Rebecca (Michael) Piper, and Mary-Esther (Robert) Caldrone; a sister, Jane Fuhrmann; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by grandson, David Huebner; and brother-in-law, Bud Fuhrmann.
