Albina “Jean” A. Runkles, 72, of Pleasant Prairie, WI, passed away on Saturday, January 18th, with her loving family surrounding her. She was born in Springfield, IL, on August 27, 1941, the daughter of the late Ross and Altia (Adams) Paoni. On August 5, 1961, she married Ronald Runkles. Jean was employed by St. Therese Hospital in Waukegan for 23 years and then Condell Hospital in Libertyville, IL, for two years retiring in 2006. Jean and Ron moved to Pleasant Prairie from Cantrell, IL, and have resided here for the past three years. She attended St. Ann’s Catholic Church and loved spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Ron; two children, Cheryl Coleman of Kenosha and Ronald Jr. of Pleasant Prairie; three grandchildren, Heather, Samantha and Elizabeth; and three brothers, Fred, George (Mary Jo), and Danny (Sharon). She was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas, Robby and Dale; and a sister, Margaret Sutton. A funeral service will be held at the Proko Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 22nd, at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL. on Wednesday January 29th at 1:00 p.m..
