Charlotte Lucille Fumo, 85, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, January 18th, at Holy Name Medical Center in Des Plaines, IL. Born in Kenosha on October 31, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Josephine (Wojciechowska) Smolik. After raising her daughters, she went on to receive her Associate’s Degree from Gateway Technical College in Library Science. On May 15, 1954, she married Louis Mario Fumo at St. Casimir Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on October 15, 2012. Charlotte was formerly employed with Nash-Kelvinator for several years in the office and was also often called upon as a model when they were photographing their automobiles. She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a great cook and her specialty was making turkey and homemade ravioli. Charlotte enjoyed traveling, reading, going to school, knitting, doing crossword puzzles and putting together jigsaw puzzles. She loved being with her family, was a wonderful grandmother and her greatest accomplishment was taking care of her husband and family. When your strength has been needed most, you’ve more than done your part. No wonder you are loved so much and respected so much, too.
