Lois M. Feldt, 86, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at Manor Care with her family at her side. Born in Kenosha on March 29, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John and Teckla (Nylund) Bergendahl. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Kenosha High School. She then graduated from Augustana Hospital in Chicago, IL, as a registered nurse. On March 22, 1952, she married August Feldt in Kenosha. Lois had been employed as a registered nurse for Kenosha Medical Center and at Dr. Paul Ambro’s office and later as a salesperson for Sunset Ridge Memorial Park until her retirement 1994. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Lois will be remembered for her determination, sense of humor, compassion, her love of life, and as a great role model for her children. She is survived by her five children, Roger Feldt of Kenosha, Gretchen Schrage of Petoskey, MI, Jeannie (George) Serpe of Kenosha, Brenda Geyer of Kenosha, and Melanie (James) Fairbanks of Missoula, MT; and her two grandchildren, Taylor Marie Geyer and Inga Nylund August Ortloff. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Curtiss. Lois’ family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Hospice Alliance for all of their support. They would also like to thank their “second family,” the entire staff at Manor Care, especially Virginia and Nora, for all of their loving support and always being there for their mother. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 13th, at Proko Funeral Home at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday at Proko Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Kenosha would be appreciated by the family.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit Lois’ Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

When my husband and I first joined St. Paul's church, Lois was one of the ladies who made us feel so welcome! God bless her family.
