Thomas R. Dupons, 69, of Salem, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 23, 1944, in Kenosha, he was the son of the late Robert and Alma (Reck) Dupons. On August 27, 1977, he married Linda Urban at First Congregational Church in Kenosha. Thomas was employed as an Auto Mechanic at Sandy McKee Auto Dealership in Fox Lake, IL. After he retired he worked part time at Gander Mountain and ITO Industries. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. Thomas enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, taking family photos and spending time with his grandsons. He is survived by his wife, Linda of Salem; two daughters, Deborah (Todd) Lindstrand of Trevor and Michelle (Bert) Christensen of Silver Lake; six grandsons, Ryan, Nicholas, Christopher, Marcus, Andrew and Troy; a brother-in-law, Harold Gascoigne; a niece, Amy (Kelly) Taylor; and three nephews, Scott (Sue) Gascoigne, Todd Gascoigne and Craig Gascoigne. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Gascoigne. Tom’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice Alliance and Dr. A.J. Capelli and his staff for all of the kind and compassionate care they gave him. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 27th, at Christ Lutheran Church, 24929-75th Street, Paddock Lake, at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held on Sunday at the church from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
