James G. Curnow, Sr., 86, of Kenosha, passed away at his residence on Sunday, October 20, 2013. Born in Blairsville, PA, on December 18, 1926, he was the son of the late Archie and Helen (Slippy) Curnow, Sr. He was educated in the schools of Pennsylvania and came to Kenosha 1958. James served in the U.S. Army as a private first class from November 15, 1950, until his honorable discharge on November 14, 1952. On December 17, 1954, he married Mary Martin in Decatur, IL. He was employed with American Motors Corporation until his retirement in 1985. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed traveling, visiting casinos, and visiting with his friends at McDonalds. Survivors include a brother, Frank (Jane) Curnow of Blairsville, PA; two sisters, Edith Curnow of Blairsville, PA, and Nira Lipovsky of San Diego, CA; and his special friend, Samantha Onslow of Kenosha. He was preceded in death by his wife; a son, James G. Curnow, Jr.; and two brothers, Archie Jr. and John.
