Milagros “Millie” Velez, 49, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 24, 1963, in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Santo and Julia (Alicea) DeJesus. She moved to Kenosha over 20 years ago from Waukegan. On October 31, 1987, she married Edgar Velez. She was employed as an assembler by LPI. Millie enjoyed spending time with family and friends and planting flowers. She was also involved with church activities. She is survived by her husband, Edgar of Kenosha; two children, John Edgar Velez and Lilliana Innett Velez, both of Kenosha; one step-son, Edgar (Yadi) Joel Velez of Waukegan, IL; seven brothers and four sisters. Millie was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 20th, at Familias En Cristo, 3917-59th Street, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Green Ridge Cemetery.
