Jesus “Boy” Perez, 63, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 1, 1949, in San Antonio, TX, he was the son of Alvino and Emma (Gomez) Perez. He moved to Kenosha as a young child and attended local schools. On September 2, 1967, he married Josefina Torres in Kenosha. Boy was employed as a Machine Operator by Modern Building Materials until he had to retire due to an illness in 1996. Boy was a member of La Hermosa Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on cars. Most importantly, he enjoyed time spent with his family; he was the heart of his family. He was an avid Brewers and Redskins fan. Boy is survived by his wife, Josefina of Kenosha; four children, Jesse (Martha) Perez, Angie (Sergio Castillo) Perez, Kathy (Robert) Valdez and Chris (Maria) Perez, all of Kenosha; thirteen grandchildren, Manny, Vanessa (Mark), Alex, Gabby (Benny), Robert, Destiny, Nick, Luke, Gia, Lexi, C.J., Eli and Ava; three great-grandchildren, Mikey, Carmyn and Leyla, plus one more on the way; his mother, Emma Perez of Kenosha; five sisters, Maria Perez of Kenosha, Lydia (Lupe) Torres of Racine, Sylvia (Romero) Olivares of Kenosha, Sulema (Jesse) Gomez of Kenosha and Alicia (Chico) Pacheco of Detroit, MI; and three brothers, David (Caroline) Perez, Alvino (Sally) Perez and Johnny (Jeanie) Perez, all of Kenosha. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvino Perez. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Bloom for his care for Jesus for the last 35 years; Pastor Ruben and his brother-in-law, Juan Torres. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 30th, at Proko Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery.
