Farris “Demo” Demonbreun, Jr., 85, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2013, at St. Catherine’s Medical Center with his family at his side. Born in Nashville, TN, on July 22, 1928, he was the son of the late Farris and Lucille (Coble) Demonbreun, Sr. He was educated in the schools of Nashville and also graduated from Gateway Technical College. Demo retired from the U.S. Navy after 30 years of service. He served three world tours, one in Korea and two in Vietnam. After retirement, he worked as a civilian employee at Great Lakes Naval Base in the Public Works Center. Demo was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Moose Lodge 286, VFW Post 1865 and American Legion Post 21. He loved fishing, playing cards and going to casinos. Demo was an Oakland Raider and Chicago Cub fan and enjoyed watching sports on television, especially football. Survivors include his lifelong companion, Virginia Pillizzi and her children, Samuel (Wanda) Pillizzi, James Pillizzi, Jr., Gina (Rick) Pillizzi-Oberg and Gerald “Jerry” Pillizzi, all of Kenosha; five grandchildren, Sherri Pillizzi, Ricky Oberg, Gianna Oberg, Jamie Pillizzi and Samantha Pillizzi; and five great-grandchildren, Juliano, Lexis, Elaina, Arianna and Aubriana. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 8th, from the Proko Funeral Home at 9:15 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at St. Mark’s Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery with full military honors.
