I had the pleasure of meeting Bob when he was receiving rehab after being discharged from the hospital. I also had the opportunity to meet his Grand-daughter Stephanie, at the same place. The apples :"don't fall far from the tree: so to speak...Bob had wonderful memories to share about his family and he was so proud of Stephanie for going into nursing...She will make a great nurse one day...."she's smart as a whip" he used to tell me....I hate to see him gone...but he was VERY thankful for the family's support (especially the pup!!!) and did not want to be a burden to anyone EVER. Know that he loved his family , every last one of you. He will surely be missed, but he will never have a "tired" day again...It was a pleasure to have met him and Stephanie...(and the puppy, of course). you will be in my prayers...<3 :)
