Winfred C.”Dick” Smallwood age 84, of Kenosha, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Kindred North of Kenosha, surrounded by his family.Winfred was born on April 3, 1929 in Bruce, Mississippi, the son of the late Early and Anna Kellum Smallwood.Winfred worked as a tool and die maker and machinist for Lafayette Machine Co. and later became an over the road truck driver. He was a very active member in the Boy Scouts of America, earning his Silver Beaver award, and was a Lieutenant on the Scout Leaders Rescue Squad.On July 30, 1953 he married Kathryn Bautch in Waukegan, IL. She preceded him in death on June 2, 2002.Surviving Winfred are his two sons Rex “Ricky” and Jackie (Linda Estill) Smallwood, four daughters, Denise Hoff, Rexanna Adasiak, Bonita “Bonny” (Todd) Haber and Penny Holcomb. Six grandchildren, Steven (Amanda) Hoff, Michelle Hoff, Melissa (Brian) Maxcy, Katrina (Brian) Grizzel, Bronson Holcomb, Brandon Holcomb, and nine great grandchildren.
