Casimir "Casey" Prostko, 81, of Kenosha, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus. Born in Kenosha on September 22, 1931, he was the son of the late Dominik and Bernice (Wrobleski) Prostko. He was a lifelong resident of Kenosha and was educated in local schools. He attended MATC where he received a degree in Metallurgical Technology in 1983. Casey served his country in the U.S. Army, 5th Armored Division, during the Korean Conflict. In 1963 he married Elsie "Jean" Diedrich at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Kenosha. Jean passed away January 5, 2013. He was employed with Case International in Racine for 32 years. A member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Casey enjoyed woodworking, camping, working on cars, and was an all-around handy-man; he even built his own home. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his two sons, Bob (Andrea) Prostko of Orion, MI, and John (Jacki) Prostko of Kenosha; four grandchildren, Michael, Emily, Joseph and Grace; two brothers, Stanley (Kay) Prostko of Kenosha and Leo (“Tusi”) Prostko of Florida; and a sister, Bernice (Karl) Brown of Kenosha. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Megan Marie at birth; a brother, Ray Prostko; and three sisters, Helen Kulbiski, Marge Miller and Hedwig Seliga. Family and friends are asked to meet for a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, March 2nd, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 4816-7th Avenue, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery with full military honors.
