Sretko Bicanin, 92, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 5th at Brookside Care Center surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 6, 1920 in Kosovo, Serbia he was the son of the late Stojan and Gmitra (Sundic) Bicanin. In 1944 he married Stojana Pavlovic in Serbia. They moved to Kenosha in 1978. Sretko served in the Serbian Army during World War II. He attended Monastery Gracanica. He enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with his family. Sretko is survived by his wife, Stojana of Kenosha; his eight children, Zivana Asanin, Radivoje Bicanin, Zivka (Radosav) Jocic, Stanija (Zivan) Paunovic, Mijajle (Nada) Bicanin, BorisLav (Dragana) Bicanin, Snezana (Radomir) Gasic and Sonja (Goran) Barac; 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Momcilo Bicanin and one sister, Krstana Dasic. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 8th, at Monastery Gracanica, 3520 W Grant Ave., Third Lake, IL 60046 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Monastery Gracanica Cemetery.
