James P. Urban, Sr.

1942 ∼ 2012

James Paul "Moses" Urban, Sr. 69, of Paddock Lake, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at St. Catherine’s Medical Center. Born on October 13, 1942, in Kenosha, he was the son of Francis and Janis (Jackson) Urban. He was a lifelong resident of Bristol and Paddock Lake. On March 25, 1990, he married Kathy Kerkman in Paddock Lake. Jim was employed by Gateway Technical College as a Machine Maintenance Technician until his retirement. Currently he was working part-time at the City of Kenosha Composting Site. He was a member of WEA, the Kenosha Hog Chapter of which he was a past Head Road Captain, past Assistant Director, and past photographer. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, photography and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Jim is survived by his wife, Kathy of Paddock Lake; his three children, Susan (Bruce) Loberger and Jamie P. Guarascio, both of Kenosha, and James (Becky) Urban, Jr. of Salem; two step-children, Nicole (Michael Kuney) Hawver and Brian (Melissa) Hawver, both of Racine; eight grandchildren, Arayel, Heather, Amanda, Nicky Joe, Dante, Austin, Joseph, and Jacob; his mother, Janis Urban of Laona, WI; a sister, Linda (Tom) Dupons of Salem; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Urban. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 12th, at Proko Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
