We will remember Minnie, Jack, and the entire Gehring family and loved ones in our prayers in the weeks ahead. May our good and merciful Lord welcome Minnie into His heavenly kingdom...just as Minnie welcomed so many of us into her home and into her life. God gave her a heaping portion of personal warmth, kindness, and hospitality. Minnie shared those gifts with others openly, abundantly, and with joy. Happy are those - family and friends - whose lives she touched!

We have known Minnie and the Gehring family for several years. We have enjoyed meeting and being apart of the Gehring family, and especially knowing Minnie. We remember Minnie as being a GREAT baker of holiday Christmas cookies, and a GREAT baker of egg bread with the bright colors at Eastertime. Minnie would always ask everyone to come in and visit her at her home. She had a special love for her family and everyone else she came in contact with. Minnie was committed to her children, grandchildren and was a "social compassionate person with other people she came in contact with." We both give the Gehring family our deepest condolences and alway remember that Minnie will be with us in spirit looking down from heaven.

Even though many years have passed since we enjoyed each others friendship playing ball at Newman Park, the memories created often bring a feeling of comfort and gratefulness for the special childhood we enjoyed in our neighborhood. I hope you find comfort in knowing Minnie had a positive influence on all of us. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Minnie was a wonderful lady and it was our pleasure to know her and Jack. Whenever we visited she was a great hostess and always insisted that we have something she had prepared to eat. A fantastic person and a tremendous cook. We'll miss her. We are so glad that Amanda and Tess were able to make it home for the funeral. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.
