James Charles "Jimmy" Coates, 81, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 31, 2011, at St. Catherine’s Medical Center surrounded by his wife and mother-in-law, Josephine Nance. Born in Milwaukee on February 21, 1930, he was the son of the late Howard and Luella (Born) Coates. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict, until he was honorably discharged. Jimmy owned and operated several car dealerships in the Kenosha area for over 40 years. On August 25, 1992, he married Diane Nance in Las Vegas, NV. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Diane of Kenosha; a brother, John "Jack" Coates of Kenosha; his step-children, Dr. Dawn Morris of Panama City, FL, and John Duller of Billings, MT; adoptive step-son, Hondo Stella of Kenosha; and his precious, "baby Molly". He was preceded in death by his son, Rick Coates; and his parents. Diane would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire Emergency Room and ICU staff at St. Catherine’s Medical Center for the fantastic care and compassion shown to Jimmy and all the family during his time at the hospital.
